The Ascot Football Academy (AFA) was founded in September 2010 with the intention to provide a professionally organized and structured football training environment for young players between 5 and 17 years of age. (boys and girls). The coaching sessions and all activities the academy offers are aimed at all skill levels with the emphasis at all times on having fun while learning.

All sports provide excellent pathways for young people to learn new skills, become more confident and maximize their own potential. Through participation they can have fun and enjoyment, learn and develop life skills, make new friends and experience life in a way that will enhance their personal growth throughout the course of their lives.

The academy coaches ensure that all activities and games are conducted safely and at all times in the spirit of fair play.

The Academy has grown from just a few players to over 100 students between the ages of 5 and 17 years old. Training takes place at Ascot International School where the facilities available are 2 Football fields (7 a side) or 1 Full size Football field (11 a side) and 2 Futsal courts. Ample changing rooms, showers and toilets are provided adjacent to the training areas.

The Training programme includes: Physical training: Agility, Balance, Coordination, Spatial awareness and
Multi-directional movement; Technical training: Passing, Running with the ball, Dribbling, Shooting, Control, Heading, Finishing and Tactical Training: Defensive system, Offensive system, Ways to play, Set pass, Defense vs Attack, Attack vs Defense, Small sided games and Match plan.

AFA participates in the following leagues:
BYL (Bangkok Youth League),
TIL (Thailand International League),
TJFL (Thai Junior Futsal League),
BGL (Bangkok Gunners League),
SL (Super League)
TISAC (Thailand International School Activity Conference)

Time Table:

Monday/Wednesday = Primary Group, 5 to 11 years old = 4:00 to 5:30 pm
Tuesday/Thursday = Girls Group, 12 to 17 years old = 3:00 to 4:00 pm
Tuesday/Thursday = Secondary Group, 12 to 17 years old = 4:00 to 5:30 pm
Saturday = AFA Elite Training (School teams training U-9, U-11 and U-13) = 8:00 to 10:30 am
Saturday/Sunday = Primary Group, 5 to 11 years old = 8:00 to 9:30 am
Saturday/Sunday = Secondary Group, 12 to 17 years old = 3:00 to 5:00 pm
