Ascot Football Academy (AFA) was founded in September 2010 with the intention to provide a professionally organized and structured football training environment for boy and girls between 5 and 17 years of age. The coaching sessions and activities the academy offers are aimed at all skill levels with an emphasis on having fun while learning.

All sports provide excellent pathways for young people to learn new skills, become more confident and maximize their own potential. Through participation in AFA our students have fun, learn and develop life skills. They also make new friends and experience life in a way that will enhance their personal growth as they progress into adulthood.

The Academy coaches ensure that all activities and games are conducted safely and at all times in the spirit of fair play.

Our Brazilian Head Coach / Coach Director Felipe Amaral is ably assisted by his team:

Coaches – Yuri Novaes from Brazil, Marcelo Mendes from Brazil, Kevin Hodges from England, Marlon Hardy from England and Tony Winton from England

Goalkeeper Coaches – Silvio Cesar from Brazil and Armand Kemajou from Cameroon

Since its inception the Academy has grown from just a few players to over 160 students. Training takes place at Ascot International School where the facilities available are 2 football fields with real grass (7 aside) or 1 full size football field with real grass (11 aside), 2 brand new indoor artificial grass futsal courts (5 aside) and 2 indoor hard surface futsal courts (5 aside). There are also ample changing rooms, showers and toilets which are adjacent to the training areas.

Our training programmes include:

Football 11 aside; Football 7 aside; and Futsal training. Coaching Pogramme U7, U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17; Elite Training Programme; Goalkeeper Intensive Training Programme; Girls Special Training Programme; SoccerTots Programme for 4 and 5 years old; and a Skills Programme.
