We are delighted to welcome our incoming Secondary teachers for the 2021 – 2022 academic year.

Harry Rogers – Geography and History
Mr. Rogers qualified as a teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Geography from the
University of Warwick. Prior to
undertaking his teacher training he taught EAL (English as an Additional Language) in Vietnam for 3 years. He has been
teaching at the British International School of Ljubljana, Slovenia for the past 2 years and he is very much looking forward to joining the Ascot school community.

Hannah Mohammed – Geography, ICT & ESS
Hannah has taught both Geography and ESL in the UK, Vietnam, Spain and Qatar. She is really excited to meet the Ascot team, and to get to know all of the wonderful students!

Ray Pearce – English
Ray had been a teacher for no fewer than 32 years, having taught in the UK, Japan, South Korea and Thailand. Ray joins Ascot having spent ten years teaching at Harrow International School, Bangkok. He is also a
keen photographer and spends a lot of his spare time filming birds and wildlife. He is joined at with his Thai wife, Tassana and my son Collin.

Jenna Yocum – Head of English
Jenna is beginning her fifth year in Thailand having taught a range of year
levels from middle school to university
with experience in the U.S., France, and Japan. She is excited to join the Ascot community and help foster a love
of literature and learning with her students.

Rick Hinds – English
Rick is an experienced English teacher from the UK with over 6 years teaching in Thailand. He is very much looking forward to working with the students at Ascot and helping them fulfil their potential.

Thomas Watts – Head of Maths
Tom is an experienced IB and IGCSE Mathematics instructor, having taught in China and the UAE. He is looking forward to meeting and connecting with other staff and students professionally, and looking forward to life in general in Thailand and Bangkok.

Alexander Weidemann – Head of Science
Alexander is a dedicated Science teacher with the drive to see students’ progress and grow. He has taught in South Africa, China and Thailand during his 11 years of teaching. He is very excited to become part
of the ASCOT family to learn and grow with them.

Ivinn Kintanar – Music
Ivinn is a passionate musician with many qualifications, he is also fluent in French even undertaking some of his studies in French. Having previously taught music in K-13 schools in the Philippines and in Thailand, Ivinn brings to Ascot creative
approach to music education and a love of performance.
