Welcome to Ascot International School’s Preschool, where young minds flourish and discover the joy of learning. Our dedicated educators and nurturing environment provide an exceptional early education experience, preparing children for a bright future. As an esteemed international preschool in Bangkok, we prioritise holistic development, fostering curiosity, creativity, and a global mindset. Join us on this remarkable journey as we unlock the limitless potential of your child’s early years at Ascot International School, Bangkok.
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) empowers young learners to become inquisitive thinkers, compassionate communicators, and global citizens through a dynamic and inquiry-based curriculum
Concept-based learning goes beyond facts, fostering deeper understanding and the ability to apply knowledge across subjects, empowering students to become critical thinkers and lifelong learners
The inquiry method sparks curiousity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills as students explore real-world questions, construct knowledge, and take ownership of their learning journey
Play-based learning fosters creativity, social skills, and cognitive development as children engage in hands-on, imaginative activities that ignite their natural curiosity and love for learning
Our open plan classrooms allow students to explore and encourage child-driven learning. Space is utilised to serve many different functions throughout the year. Our classrooms also encourage students to have agency (ownership) and autonomy (independence), and place the child at the center of the learning experience, not the teacher.
Early Years at Ascot follows the IB PYP, which focuses on inquiry, concept-driven learning. What is unique about Ascot is our emphasis on HOW students are taught, versus “what” students are taught. As a school, Ascot focuses on the development of the child as a whole, who is an engaged inquirer, demonstrating agency for learning in and outside of the classroom.
Inquiry builds upon a child’s natural curiosity for the world around them. At Ascot International School, we encourage and nurture this curiosity. Inquiry encourages students to come up with their own questions, teaches them to explore various approaches and be active participants in their learning.
As today’s world is constantly changing, what we know now might not be applicable in the near future. Concept-based approach teaches students the ability to view the world with a flexible mind. While we can’t possibly teach everything, we can teach big ideas that are the framework to study everything. Content can change, but concepts stay the same.
Our Early Years building has big, open beautiful learning areas for our students. Ascot hired a specialized environmental architect to design the play area to become an additional learning area for our students. They have the opportunity to:
Our outdoor learning space has a permanent outside classroom so teachers are able to take lessons outside and students can enjoy the environment.

How to unwind: Playing on my Playstation 5
I have taught many age groups from post 16 to kindergarten. The reason I love Early Years so much is because the students develop so much within one year. To see the transformation when looking back at photos and videos gives me real job satisfaction.
Education is a passport to a world of possibilities. The things you learn does not alter who you are but what you will be able to achieve.
I have a new fancy interactive whiteboard that brings learning to life. Although the apps are education the children think it is like a game so they become extremely engaged and motivated to learn.
I used to work at a school for children with Autism. Some of the more high functioning students liked football so during my own breaks I played with them. Over many months we practised playing football as a team, from passing to a teammate to celebrating when someone scored a goal. Finally we were ready to conquer the World! I rang a number of other special schools in the area and found out they wanted to play too. I created a league of schools in the area and they continue to use this league to this day.
Ascot has two dogs that live in the car park. I am a big dog lover and I make sure they are fed and watered daily.
