Ascot International School’s House System is an important part of what makes our school community so special. More than just friendly competition, the House System helps foster belonging, school spirit, leadership, collaboration, and positive relationships across all year levels.
At Ascot, all students and staff are placed into one of four houses, creating opportunities for students to connect beyond their year group, learn from one another, and develop a strong sense of community and identity within the school.
Our four houses are:
Phraya Insee (Purple)
Phraya Kochasarn (Green)
Phraya Naga (Blue)
Phraya Rachasee (Orange)
Throughout the year, students work together within their house teams to participate in a wide variety of activities, events, challenges, and service opportunities. House points can be earned through: positive behaviour and citizenship or demonstration of the IB Approaches to Learning and Learner Profile traits. Specifically recorded in the Portal as:
Collaboration
Communication
Research
Respect
Self-Management
Social Skills
Thinking
House points are celebrated throughout the year and contribute towards the annual House Cup. In Secondary School, Certificates for 25, 50 and 100 House Points are awarded in assemblies

As an IB World School, the House System also plays an important role in developing the IB Learner Profile attributes across the whole school community.
Each month, Ascot focuses on a different Learner Profile Attribute, which is explored through:
House assemblies
Collaborative activities
Competitions and challenges
Community events
Reflection opportunities
Service and leadership experience
Special commendation certificates given in assembly
Students engage in purposeful activities designed to help them actively develop attributes such as being:
Caring
Principled
Open-minded
Risk-takers
Reflective
Balanced
Communicators
These shared experiences strengthen connections between students across different year levels while helping embed the values and philosophy of the IB into everyday school life.
The House System is celebrated through a range of exciting whole-school events across the year, including:
House Colour Days
Sports Days
Spirit Weeks
Charity and service initiatives
Academic competitions
Performing arts events
Cultural celebrations
Community challenges
These events help build school pride, teamwork, leadership, and a strong sense of belonging for all students and staff.
House shirts may be worn on Fridays only and during approved House events and spirit activities.
