How Cheerleading Helps Children Build Confidence and Teamwork

Learning Beyond the Classroom

School is about much more than academics. Children also need opportunities to discover their talents, build friendships, and develop confidence.

Activities such as dance and cheerleading help students grow in many ways. They learn how to work as a team, perform in front of an audience, and express themselves creatively.

At Ascot International School, we believe that every child should have opportunities to shine both inside and outside the classroom.

Ascot Cheerleaders Take the Stage

Our talented Ascot Cheerleader Little Kids Team (Years 1 to 4) recently performed at the Bangkok Education Fair 2026.

The students presented an exciting pop dance remix filled with energy, smiles, and enthusiasm. The performance included several fun songs, including one of their favourites, Soda Pop.

From the moment they stepped onto the stage, the children showed confidence and joy. Their positive energy captured the attention of everyone in the audience and created a memorable moment for families and visitors.

Why Performance Opportunities Matter

For many young children, performing in front of a crowd can feel challenging at first. However, these experiences help students develop important life skills.

Through cheerleading and dance performances, children learn to:

  • Build self-confidence
  • Work together as a team
  • Improve communication skills
  • Develop discipline and responsibility
  • Express themselves creatively
  • Become more comfortable speaking and performing in public

These skills continue to benefit students both in school and in everyday life.

Growing Through Every Performance

Every rehearsal and every performance teaches children something new.

Students learn that success comes from practice, teamwork, and supporting one another. They also experience the excitement of achieving something together and celebrating their efforts as a group.

Seeing our young learners perform with such confidence and happiness reminds us that education is about helping children become well-rounded individuals who are ready to take on new challenges.

Celebrating Every Child's Potential

At Ascot International School, we encourage students to explore their interests and discover their strengths through a wide range of extracurricular activities.

Whether it is performing on stage, playing sports, creating art, or participating in community projects, every experience helps children develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

We are incredibly proud of our little cheerleaders and the joy they brought to the stage at Bangkok Education Fair 2026.

Their performance was a wonderful reminder that when children are given the chance to shine, they can achieve amazing things.
