Ascot International School invites families to join our Early Years Discovery Day on Friday, 18 September 2026, from 8:00 AM onwards.
This special morning is designed for families who are looking for an international Early Years school in Bangkok and would like to discover how Ascot supports children during these important first years of education.
The Early Years are a time of discovery. Young children learn by playing, exploring, asking questions, communicating and building relationships with the people around them.
At Ascot, our Early Years learning environment is designed to help children feel safe, comfortable and confident as they begin their educational journey.
Our approach is play-based and child-centred, using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Development Matters guidance together with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) framework.
This means learning is not only about sitting at a table and completing activities. Children are encouraged to be active participants in their learning.
They have opportunities to explore their environment, communicate their ideas, develop friendships, solve problems, be creative and gradually become more independent.
The first years of education can shape how children see themselves as learners.

For young children, play has an important role in learning.
A simple building activity can introduce ideas about shapes, balance and problem-solving. Storytelling can develop communication, imagination and early literacy. Outdoor play can support physical development, teamwork and confidence.

Rather than focusing only on what children know, we also want them to develop curiosity and a positive relationship with learning.
Every child develops differently, especially during the Early Years.
