Creativity with Purpose at Ascot

At Ascot International School, we believe creativity can help students learn about the world and make a positive difference.

Inspired by the famous Elephant Parade in Chiang Mai, our students and teachers worked together to create a special elephant art exhibition. The project celebrated creativity while raising awareness about Asian elephant conservation and the importance of protecting nature.

Each elephant sculpture tells a different story, showing how art can inspire people to care for the environment and the world around them.

Every Elephant Has a Story

Each student designed and painted their own elephant sculpture based on a cause or idea that was important to them.

Every artwork is unique and reflects each student’s creativity and personal message. To help visitors learn more, every elephant includes a QR code that shares the story and inspiration behind the design.

This allowed students to explain their ideas and gave visitors a chance to understand the meaning behind each piece of art.

Learning About Asian Elephant Conservation

The project was more than an art activity. It also helped students learn about Asian elephants and why they need our protection.

Today, fewer than 50,000 Asian elephants remain in the wild. They face many challenges, including habitat loss, conflict with humans, and illegal poaching. Students also learned that elephants play an important role in nature. They help spread seeds, create paths through forests, and support healthy ecosystems. Protecting elephants also helps protect many other plants and animals.

Creativity That Inspires Positive Action

This exhibition encouraged students to use their creativity to share ideas that matter.

As they designed their elephant sculptures, students practised creative thinking, communication, and reflection. They also learned how art can help raise awareness about important global issues. The project showed that every student has a voice and that even small actions can inspire positive change.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

At Ascot, learning goes beyond textbooks. Students are encouraged to connect what they learn in school with real-life experiences.

Through this exhibition, students explored art, environmental conservation, and storytelling in one meaningful project. They worked creatively, shared their ideas, and learned how their work can educate and inspire others. These experiences help students become confident learners who care about their community and the world.

Celebrating Creativity and Compassion

The Elephant Exhibition is a wonderful example of how creativity can support learning and inspire positive change.

Every sculpture reflects a student’s imagination, care, and understanding of an important cause. Together, the exhibition celebrates student voice, creativity, compassion, and the shared responsibility to protect wildlife and our natural environment. At Ascot International School, we are proud to create learning experiences that encourage students to think creatively, care for others, and make a meaningful difference.
